My tomatoes did have Russet Tomato Mites and I do believe that the following formula would work but I think I used more mineral oil and soap than the recipe asked.

Here is the recipe

4 tablespoons chopped garlic soaked in

2 tablespoons mineral oil overnight

strain garlic

add oil (in spray bottle) to 2 cups water and a couple of drops of soap

Well it think that I added 5 drops of soap and 3 tablespoons of mineral oil, thinking the more the better.

I did follow the recipe exactly the first time and nothing like this happened, but the mites were still around. The plants were better just not completely mite free. That's why I did it again. The 2nd time it was also much hotter and I believe I did it too late in the morning. Next time I will only apply at dust and will follow the recipe exactly.

Please learn from my mistake.
