worms on cherry tomatos

since i'm writing from P.R., stateside info. may be different. i have cherry tomatos in a pot. there are very small worms which wrap themselves inside the leaves like a cocoon. insecticide doesn't seem to get to them. any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

When you see a rolled leaf, squish it.

Sounds like the tomato pinworms I'm trying to deal with. What color are they, and what kind of damage are they inflicting the the tomato plants.

they are green & about 1/2 to 1" long by 1/16" wide. they cocoon themselves inside the leaf & then proceed to eat it. i don't know where they came from since i grew full-sized tomatos before & did not have them.

David, that could be serpentine leafminer, or tomato pinworms.
Both common in the Carib, I think we got ours here in the Keys from you. LOL

Try pinching the leafs off that have them, stay on top of it.
I have never found anything that works besides systemics.
