Wilting Tomato Plant

I am growing several types of heirloom tomato plants and one of them is growing, but it looks like it is wilting. Nothing I do seems to change it. I looked up tomatoes in one of my Rodale books and all I could find on this condition appeared to be something called 'Southern Wilt' which basically meant you have to remove the plant and look for one which is resistant to the disease. I posted this somewhere else, and someone responded by saying that the plant would have died if it were 'Southern Wilt'. Does anyone know what would cause a plant to just wilt all the time? I have given the plant plenty of water so it isn't because of dryness.
