I am considering an alternative method of growing tomatoes such as upside down hanging baskets has anyone tried this with any success

Please help me, I am growing several Cherry Tomato plants in my organic garden in Malaysia. In the past, the harvest was hearty. This year (I crop rotate) I have planted a few seedlings in raised beds as well as in containers. One by one my plants have wilted over night without rhyme or reason. Like some one wAved a magic wand over them and hey presto, they wilted. I get my seeds from a trusted source so no worries there. The plants have fruit as it is really sad to see them die. I am waiting with bated breath to see if the other, for the moment, healthy plants suffer the same fate. Any help will be greeted with extreme thankfullness
