Tomato plant seems to be dying

It is in a large plastic?! planter and it is HUGE but the flowers and leaves are wilting.

I water it till I see a bunch of water in it's saucer and usually it picks up but now the water is going straight through and yesterday I saw a worm on it - a green inch long worm.

Also several smaller branches have died and I have cut them off.

Can this be saved? Flowers are also drooping.

Not much information to go on but it sounds like it is rootbound in the pot. If so, then no it won't survive unless it gets transplanted to a much larger container. You don't say how big the container is - # of gallons?

Tomato plants need very large containers a 5 gallon bucket is the smallest recommended and then only for the smaller plants. Indeterminate varieties need 10 gallon containers or bigger to thrive.

Well, the planter is about 4 feet around and 3 feet high. Tomato plant is close to 3 feet above it.

I did flood it a couple of times and now water just runs right though. It also has some green "worms" on it.

Actually the CONTAINER is just 3 feet around and 20 inches high but the tomato PLANT is 42 inches high.
