Conventional wisdom states that you do not mix chemicals. BUT, the pros do this routinely.

There are usually underlying reasons for 'conventional wisdom'. And since most home gardeners are far from professionals and certainly NOT educated in the proper use of pesticides and fungicides - most don't even read the labels and follow the instruction - conventional wisdom should be strictly followed.
