Hi! I'm new here. I have a crisis...
My plants were growing GREAT for a while, producing tomatoes like crazy - I was eating 3 a day to keep up with them. But then all of a sudden they keeled over. The leaves got yellow and DIED. One plant was TOTALLY dead, I dug it up last night. I noticed on one plant that it has "knots" or "bumps" on the roots and where the stems sprout out from the root. I took 2 tomatoes off of it and they were totally rotten. But I noticed that there is new growth on it that seems unaffected.
I didn't inspect the other plant as closely, but I do have a picture of a tomato I took off of it last night that looks almost like the rotten ones from the bad plant.
I'll take a picture of the plants themselves tomorrow.
I've looked all over the web and can't find any answers - please help!!!
