Hi garden_grace! I admire your manners AND your bravery at just jumping in! (It took me months of reading to dare to say anything on GW at all, but I've never regretted it, you learn so much.) I'm sure you will find that the TN group is extremely friendly and easygoing. I haven't had a chance to go to my area's swap yet, but just reading about it is a blast. There are lots of people new or recent to TN here and others who seem to have been around for awhile and know everything. Good luck with your garden!

Welcome to Tennessee grace! We're happy to have you aboard. Never shy away from asking questions or posting your opinion. We have a forum full of wonderful, friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful folks here.

You have the ETPS in your backyard, the Mountain Madness Plant Swap over in Seymour and the Middle Tennessee Plant Swap which is south of Hohenwald. Check out some of the action on the "Spring MTPS Photos Now Online!" thread below.

The fall MTPS will be Saturday Oct. 21st. Along with the swap, we will also have a guest speaker and a pot-luck lunch. Our attendance will be in the 75-100 swapper range so thousands upon thousands of plants will be available as well as all kinds of garden related items. Camping, canoeing and fishing are also available at our location and many of our group take advantage of these extra perks. We have folks that come from all corners the state as well as our border states. I am north of Chattanooga by about 25 miles. I've been here for about 8 years now. 5 years ago I would have said I'm waaaaaayyyy in the country but the country has moved further north and the new houses have moved in. But I AM still in the woods!
I appreciate the info on swaps. I am going to look into the information. I have a ton of various perreniels I would be happy to find homes for when I dig up and separate later in the year.
