Sure, it's fairly common to hear of people using it in cakes and such. I've tried it baked in stuff once or twice, didn't much care for it.

I heard of using the older woody stems as skewers on the barbecue. Never tried it though. I "think" you can use it for tea also. If you try some in your cooking I'd love to hear how it tastes.

I had some planted at my old house but I moved so now I'm really missing it. I have to plant more here. I used mine for it's smell. One thing I loved to do was put some in the vacuum bag when I changed it. When I vaccuumed the whole house would smell like lavender. I also put in in the folds of my pillowcases before putting them in the linen closet.
