Western TN Gardeners?

Are there no western TN gardeners? Or plant swaps in this area? :)
My mother in law has had a huge problem with fusarium wilt this year, all of her carnations are dying, her veggie bed molded away, and her roses aren't blooming at all...for all of her massive garden, her knowledge of gardening is limited to watering and miracle grow. (She thought that rose hips are a type of fungus!) Does anyone in this area know if this is typical for the area (Moscow, TN), and what could be done to prevent these things? She won't listen to me, she still says that I killed her plants by overwatering (She has the wrong type of soil in her pots, and it dries out completely every day!), and that the problem isn't fusarium wilt, it is root rot (which is, to my understanding, a general term for a variety of diseases that cause a plants roots to rot, including fusarium wilt.) She also insisted on watering the veggie garden every evening, maybe causing the mold to grow during the warm, humid summer nights?

The garden that Is dying is my mother in laws. Not mine. I practice safe gardening, lol! And I don't use my equipment at her house. What kind of plants do you want to trade for? When I trade plants, I only do a face to face trade, that way there's no damage during shipping, and I trade rather than buy to save money. My trade list hasn't been updated in a while, but take a look and email me.

No, this is not typical. The unusually cool summer may have something to do with it if she's treating her plants exactly like she does every other year when it's extremely hot.

I'm interested in trading plants, but trading from a garden where everything is dying is probably a very bad idea.

I want to be one and we will be out there looking for acreage/home in the next few weeks. We are coming from NW IL and won't be able to buy anything until our house sells. (We have an interested party but they have to sell their house - sigh.)

We want at least 10 acres in a remote area with a 2500 sq. ft. home. 20 minutes from a town large enough to have medical facilities. We currently have a similar situation but the property taxes in IL are killing us.
