i dont mean the fruit, i mean the whole plant!

i was messing around in the late spring (end of may) and threw about 1.5 cups of soil and some cucumber seeds into a 2L soda bottle. i added an aquarium air pump to force air down into the bottle and set it on a windowsill in my garage. oddly enough, they grew really well! i added some hydroponic nutrients, and now the vines are blooming! they are super dwarf though. the biggest leaves are maybe 3 inches wide and usually they should be 8-12" wide. i'm wondering if they will produce fruit? the flowers are basically regular sized, i set the bottle out back to give bugs a fair chance at it.

anyone else have any silly gardening experaments going this year?
