Thursday my dog and I went hiking on House Mountain (just outside Knoxville.)I was rather amazed to see lots of purple spiderwort and even a few Heuchera. I thought these were cultivated plants? The places where I found them growing were not homestead sites - some were in very difficult spots along the trail. There were some great wildflowers up there... things I've never seen. I wish I'd had my camera.
