Hi Great to know you are a fellow tropical garden in Manitoba lover. It sounds almost like fiction, doesn't it? I recently bought a bunch of tropical garden seeds that I'm starting for my tropical garden for next year. I planted them last week and I already have 2 Delonix Regia coming up. The banana's, jade vines, and all the rest haven't shown signs of life yet. I also seeded some African Tulip trees last winter and they are about a foot tall now so they can go outside next year. Oh, I also got a Tibouchina which is still blooming inside, and a solanium vine which is supposed to get 8 inch yellow flowers, and a whole bunch more. Where do you get your plants? Laura
Good work! Glad to know that there are other Canadians out there doing the same thing that I do! If you ever need a list of good suppliers of seeds and or plants, let me know.
Well done. Yeah Canada! There are a few of us who relish the life of the tropics, and yet enjoy the winter snow. ...a lot of work though to make it happen. I have some friends in Southern Ontario who play with the tropical look as well.
