I was wondering if anyone knows if kniphofia should be dead-headed? I planted 6 this year: 4 are uvaria and 2 are orange blaze. The uvaria have single thick stalks and the orange blaze have multiple stalks that are more slender. I'm thrilled that they're blooming so soon, but concerned that they will not continue to do so throughout summer. (I thought they wouldn't even start blooming until June or so.)

If they should be clipped, where should I clip the stalk,--- more towards the bottom I presume?
