I would love the Conadria and Excel. I have a unkown fig potted that grows well around here has a couple of figs on it now. Brown Turkey? maybe. Also have a Chicago Hardy potted.Maybe you are sharp enough to tell me what the unknown one is. Thanks for letting me have a chance at them.

Figs are very easy to root. The best time is the middle of winter, although you can also take cuttings in the middle of summer. Along about December or January, make cuttings from branch tips. The cuttings should be about the diameter of a Sharpie or a bit thicker, and maybe 8-10 inches long. Just scar the bark at the end of the cutting by gently scraping one or two strips about a half inch or so long -- I don't know if this is really important or not, but I do it anyway. ;-) Then dip the end in rooting hormone, tap off the excess, and stick two or three inches into potting soil. Et voila -- a new fig tree will happen!

Come on Martha what is the name of it? I may head to Brighton with a shovel and a large trailer. Or is it like mine without a name. If unknown bring a fig to the swap I will see if it's like any we have here.
