cat palm

I just potted 2 cat palms in miracle grow potting soil about 3 days ago and it looks like they are dying. Lots of brown on tips of leaves and newer growths are yellow. They do get a good deal of sun and it has been in the high 80's. Normally I plant Majestic Palms in these pots under the exact same conditions and they do wonderful! Is there that big of a difference between the two? HELP!!!!
