Rabbiteye type blueberries do best in this part of the country, but there are a few Southern Highbush and even a couple of Northern Highbush cultivars that are also well suited for Tennessee.

Here are the types I grow. I consider them the best of the best for Tennessee. As well as doing lots of research myself, I got the opinion of a few commercial Tennessee blueberry growers before choosing these. Just about any Rabbiteye cultivar should be OK, but be careful about choosing other Highbush varieties not listed here.

I have had real good luck with Misty and Duke. I can't remember if they are Southern Highbush or Rabbit-eye. I bought them for my TX garden, then when we moved here, I rooted cuttings and brought them with me to Paris, TN. I think I got the originals from Simmons, if they are the ones in AR. Even that Sunshine Blue that is sold to grow in a pot is doing great in my garden here.
