This will work for plants that don't go dormant, also. They do not need any light and just need to be kept around 40-45 degrees F. Wrap the root ball in damp burlap with plastic around that. Do not wrap the top part of the plant in anything. Take out of crawl space about a month before your "planting outside date" and start bringing back to life gradually. Do not expose to bright sun for at least three weeks of acclimation. Just pot up, water well, but don't water again until plant shows signs of new growth and soil has started to dry a couple of inches. (bring back in a pot, not the ground) Place in a bright location inside with as much warmth as possible. Keep good notes for next year.
