Propagating Native Azaleas?

I saw some native Azaleas at the Memphis Botanic Garden yesterday, and didn't remember if Marty said to do anything special to these seeds other than stratifying. The seed pods on those plants were still very green looking nowhere near being ripe. There's no way I'll be able to join in with April and the others on the seed-collecting trip, but I can get some seeds from these in Memphis. Can I assume these will be ready to collect about the same time or maybe a week or so later as those on the plateau?

Was I right that Marty said they're hard to propagate from cuttings?

BTW, Marty, I have some Water Oak and Willow Oak acorns for you. Shall I send them to your work address?
