I understand this new shade-loving coleus has monster size leaves 6"(or more) long. Haven't been able to find photos showing it's capabilities, but it's supposed to be out this year, next year big-time. Several shades and multi-colors.
I have been seeing them in Calloway's here in the Dallas area. They are awesome looking! But at $8 for a fairly small pot (tad bigger than a quart, maybe 1/2 gallon size) I decided to wait on purchasing any. If it were earlier in the season, I would have bought some in a heart-beat. But I thought the end of August was late to spend that much $ on an annual. (I have not had great luck with overwintering coleus indoors, though I do overwinter a ton of other stuff.) Very nice plants, though - extremely tropical looking. ~ Suzie
