It won't overwinter outside here, dispite several attempts, and it grows too slow from seed to produce a flowering plant in a single growng season. I overwinter mine in a cool greenhouse (kept just above freezing at night). In the greenhouse, it slowly loses its leaves over the winter, but then starts growing once I put it back in the ground in the spring. It transplants easily and like all Clerodendron, wants to be invasive (but my winters kill out the wandering rhizomes).
