Gorgeous as always. Did you grow the impatiens seashells from seed? If you did, where did you get the seeds?
Also love the other impatiens (blue one) I have that too and it has done great for me.

I've tried to grow many tropicals this year, but had mixed success. I read about the need to feed, feed, feed. But what about bugs? Seems I have leaf rollers in bananas, things look chewed on, etc.. How do you control bug damage?

My only other observation is that I seem to have a hard time keeping everything watered well enough. We had perhaps the mildest summer I can EVER remember, but many of the things you have growing in full sun looked like they were burning up. Even cannas looked rough. Any suggestions? (Yes, I watered quite often.) Temps were mid to lower 90s during June-July-August-Sept. Very few high-90s, only a couple of 100s. Cooling down now to lower-mid 80s as a high.

I don;t know what to tell you except we have lots of humidity and the only bugs I get are japanese beetles sometimes. I never spray any insecticides anyhow , bugs or not.

I know th plants need tons of water , especially in a dry (lo humidity) area. Most cannas and elephant ears will grow directly in water too.

Are all of your plants directly in the ground?
