I've said it before and I'll say it again, NO ONE appreciates spring the way us northerners do.

That's for sure!!

I think last night on the news they mentioned we had 8 inches of snow on the second day of spring last year....I remember a few Easter Blizzards as a kid....and yet we stay!

I can remember being at a plant sale in a snow storm on May 18th. I always tell my family in Florida that we earn our spring.

Kareen, was that on a Mother's Day in the 80s? I remember that one. Many broken limbs because of weight of snow.

i didnt even realize we had a spring last year. we went from winter to about a week of summer then right to fall. im hoping for a better spring, alot of trees didnt even flower last year.

About 10 years ago we had a blizzard on Easter Sunday. I remember we had to dig out of at least a couple of feet of snow just to get to church. I think we ended up walking as the streets hadn't even been plowed. That was an April Easter.

March certainly is coming in like a lion! I can't believe it started snowing yesteday and it's still coming down!

Still snowing here but under the yew at the corner of the house, the snowdrops are blooming. They were poking up buds when I was out in the woods last week but those are buried in that white stuff now.
