Spring madness has hit

I've been winter sowing. I usually wait until after the really bad weather has taken its toll- around March 3rd. I don't know if that is too late for some things, but I just can't see anything surviving that extreme cold.

Last year I was inspired to try winter sowing in milk jugs. Normally when I winter sow I've been planting in flats and covering with plastic wrap which makes watering a pain and causes a lot of water damage and rot to the plants.

The madness comes with realizing how many seeds I've got in each jug. I barely have enough room for one of each plant in my yard, yet when I start planting I think I have to throw in an extra dozen because the seed were old or they contained a lot of chaff and I want to be sure of having some that will germinate. Then of course they all do.

I've got quite a collection of containers and the number is growing. Lord help me be strong enough to throw away the excess and not think I have to plant each one.
