Asparagus emerging?

Typically when do your asparagus start to emerge? Any popping up already?

Mine are always among the last in the area to come up, as they only get sun until about 3pm. I'm just hoping to have them up by May!

As for the asparagus - I just found some in a random spot in my herb garden that was a good way up already. The birds must have carried the seeds over from the vegetable garden.
