We'd have to see where you cabinet ends to determine rather to wrap around or not. It's $15 per sq foot at the Builder Depot. You can get away with just the back..if budget is an issue, I'm thinkin'.

Thanks so much eutoya! It looks like you tend to lean towards neutrals, creams, beiges, whites. The photo that Bobbi P posted is more fitting for what you have existing. If you have been trying to push the envelope a bit try adding aome soft blue, greens and even some blush tones. They won't force you to rework everything you have but just kicks it up a notch. Also although cleaning may be another story, these pebbles would look fab too :) Have Fun!

You can go to Homegoods which is a TJ Maxx company. Do you have one? They have pillows galore and all colors. Also I like Pier 1, West Elm, Horchow (online). When you are searching for solids it becomes a bit easier too. The artwork I am not sure about but any of the above esp any "modern" furniture/accessory stores should have options. I found a similar piece of art on Magnoliabox.com but it is in the UK so you would need to convert sizes etc. Best of luck and we are here when you are ready for more!

It may be a little tricky with your raised up control panel, but see if you can have enough space for a focal point. I got the Home Depot marble mosaic pattern on mesh, and grouted around it, with similar squares in marble. The mosaic itself was only $20. The matching squares about another $30, and the grout and sealer. Make sure to use spacers between the squares while they are drying so they don't slip out of place. Its pretty similar to the photo above. We had a black granite countertop too, and light maple cabinets, and slate floor. The mosaic had enough of each color in it to complement all of them.
