My friend has a tall, 7ft+, shrub that I need help identifying. It has leaves something like a staghorn sumac. The branches are covered with red thorny looking hairs. It is flowering right now, with pink flowers that resemble sweet pea flowers. Any ideas?

I don't think that is it, because the bush clover lacks the spiney hairs. I will try to get a picture and post it. Thanks for the help.
