Very cool! I have both white ones and purple ones and I love them. I've never actually watched them open like that, I love what you did with the camera.

Wayne....what a great show on a rainy night! Super idea to tape it! For some reason I do not have any datura's this year...and I miss them. If anyone has any white or purple seed come fall.....I would love a few.

By the way .....did you winter sow them to get them started?

Jean I will have a ton of seeds this fall. I have two types Datura. The one you see is Datura Wrightii...Big white flowers. And I have the Datura that is Jimson weed..I love the plant just not the small white and purple flowers. I also have a Brugmansia that is getting very big. I have a few people sending me cutting of more Brugs. Next year I hope to have a yard full!...thanks for watching...wayne

Wanye: That was cool! What a great idea. I've never really watched them open the entire time, either. But when I'm out at night this time of the year, I'll walk by and notice one flower starting to open. Then the next time I walk by it will be mostly open. Gotta love daturas! Their scent is heavenly.
