Don't see why the TVP should be a problem. I'd think it would break down like any grains, (might heat up first) but eventually the worms will deal with it.

With a small system like yours, I would watch for signs of protein poisoning, such as "string-of pearls" effect. Hopefully everything will be fine!

You're thinking of Okara (Tofu pulp). My wife made a batch of Tofu a couple weeks ago. I put some of the Okara into the bin to see what would happen. Only now are the worms starting to show some interest in it.
TVP can come as dry biscuits which you reconstitute with water, season and then fry or bake. You could also possibly find it in your grocer's freezer case as soy burgers or cutlets, etc.

shaul: there's a place that makes tofu here and has a trailer wagon in the back lane where the pulp just dropped in from a conveyer belt. Anybody can p/u by the shovel.
I let it sit for several weeks before I fed that to the worm mixed with juice pulp. Boy, did that ever stink (for a couple of days). Good thing my bins are outside, and the worm processed that too. I did that just for variety to the VC.

"Is TVP the same as the tofu pulp?" I do not know. I never figured out how to use the package in 13 years. :-) shaul's answer sounds good to me.

Well, I'm gonna find out because I added a bunch of it to the Bokashi pail that I sealed up a week ago (and will let it cook for another 3 weeks).
