I am a transfer from the wintersowing forum, where I have previously spent most of my gardenweb time. I have an endless supply of 55 gallon plastic foodgrade barrels. My plan is to put them to use a rain barrels, compost tumblers, and a flow through worm bin or two . . .or three. . or well, you the idea. Rain barrels and compost tumblers I'm good on. However, I'm totally new to worm compositing.

I have looked at some designs for flow through using a 55 gallon plastic barrel. Can someone recommend the best design?

Additionally, can someone give me a good overview of what I need to know about worm composting, in particular with the use of this flow through design? If you give me some basic steps/items, I will do more detailed research if needed.
