I made a mistake in the beginning of going with plastic bins that were not dark but Im getting by with it since I have them in a large dark closet. Anyway its been 10 weeks now and Im seeing lots of finished castings the bedding level has dropped a good bit from when I started. So Ive stopped feeding in that bin and Im adding or stacking the second bin which Ive drilled multple holes to resemble one of manufactured stackables. In a couple of weeks most of the worms will have migrated up but as always there will still be a few in the lower bin which is ok and they can finish what is left below. Hopefully I will find a few cocoons or babies.
