Hi all -

With our new baby and a full month of traveling around the country, my worms were seriously neglected for almost two months! When I opened up the bin, they'd gone through and abandoned large sections of it, leaving behind mostly processed vermicompost. However, when I tried to stir it, it broke into fist-sized lumps that are not as easy to subdivide further. I think that they look like my old coffee filters. Could these be serving as barriers in some way? Do most people tear them up or just dump them in? I've been being lazy and just dumping the whole filter+coffee in at once.
