I think the first thing you should do is search the forum. All of the questions you asked have been answered many times. I get my worms from e-bay and have had very good luck. There are many good vendors so do a search of the web and compare prices, shipping, and reputation of the vendors. What size containers? Feeding is relative, very lightly at first and as they process more add more. I have never heard of changing the bedding and I have been doing this for years. You may be thinking of harvesting the castings, hard to say. Remember that you need the bin setup in advance of their arrival, at least two to three weeks so the microbes can start getting established.

It would be worth it for you to buy the book "Worms eat my Garbage" by Mary Applehof. It is a very interesting read and explains everything you need to know. I find myself going back to it and re-reading parts all the time.

I agree with wormlover. That book explains everything in detail. As far as where to get the worms, I got mine from Trinity Ranch, and was very pleased. The Trinity Ranch website also has a lot of information about worming.
