The aquatic eloda (anacharis) should be fine to vermicompost. The tiny amount of water clinging to the plants should make the declorinator and algae killer negligible. I frequently vermicompost stringe algae. I like to think it is ideal for the bin.

After adding the eloda is a great time to add more bedding to the bin.

Thank you im going to wait a few weeks to cut it and to let the algae killer dissipate then I'll tell you what happens! :)

I am now growing duckweed for some greens for my worms fun! I will tell you guys how it turns out. I'll get pictures tomorrow I have 1 peace of duckweed in there. It's just for a continual small snack of greens during winter. And it's home grown :)
