old manure

Folks on the farm there's a barn with six stalls and they have never been cleaned out I'm 47 and never seen it done.Me and the lads cleaned one stall out last year.And mixed it with wood chips green weeds I scyth from around the farm and old dust and hay(best looking compost I've ever seen)Question will this compost with the old manure hurt my worms.

Move all of that gold you can get. Three or four inches a year is not to much. Run a cover crop over it in the fall. Till in the spring. You will be soil building in the finest order.

You might want to consider and use Mycorrhizae for an even better healthy soil.
