its a great tip kaylin, my city council has only just started offering worm bins for sale to residents here in my part of aus but I think it will become more popular especially in areas like mine where the yards are disappearing and there isnt much room for composting outdoors at new houses. As they try to get people recycling more of their own household waste they do offer good prices on things like this so its worth looking into no matter where you live.

Kaylin, thanks for the info. I use a Rubbermaid bin but thought the Worm Factory might be fun to try. Does it fit in the trunk of a car, in parts?

Yes definitely fits in the truck. You have to put it together, but its really easy.

Are those the actual bins you receive? Looks like the compost bin is a Garden Gourmet which is a nicer one than the typical ones I've purchased through programs. First one was a Presto bin which is basically rolled plastic hoop you attach with screws $10.00 and the other was the Earth Machine $25 (Darth Vader head shape) Neither one is very effective. That worm factory looks state of the art!

Yeah I only wish I lived in California! Might be a good incentive to movve there just for the bins lol.
