I ordered a couple of pounds on ebay from kaelyn0203 for $35 with free shipping. The worms arrived in early Feb. All alive and wiggly. They were pack well and shipped fast.

Poeple on this site are very generous, if you just need a little. Do a post and maybe exchange something with someone in your area. I did that a week ago and the worms are doing great.

Should worms come from the area you live in so they are better weather acclimitized? or does it really matter?

Red wigglers are abundant in cow manure....is there a dairy/ranch near you? a shovel and a bucket and there you go.

I was lucky enough to find a source nearby in the Yellow Pages of the phone book. I believe they cost me $25.00 and free advice via e-mail for starting.

That seemed a reasonable fee.
