They are probably pot worms. If there are white, thread-like, and about 1/4 inch long, they are probably pot worms. By the time I notice babies, they already have some color to them, and they are a little larger.

Pot worms don't like to go very deep in the bin. Babies start out deeper, since they are covered with 3 weeks worth of new bedding by the time they hatch.

Pot worms are creamy to white, whereas baby worms are slightly pink, even from the moment they're hatched. Also, if you look at mature potworms up close (you might need a magnifying glass) they will have a clitellum (thickened part like other worms) about a third of the way along their body.

Do potworm clump together near the lid, if so thats what they are. i'm kind of color blind so to me their almost like a beige/skin tone. Do they just go away or is there a way to get rid of them or as many as i can, I wiped the top of tonight hopefully that will kill most of them. My problem is I bought a 1/2 pound in October so my bin is inside and with my girlfriend and her two daughters i cant have things crawling out of my bin. In may I plan to make a bin outside and thats where they will stay.

I don't know what your weather is like but here in zone 5 it is too early to put worms outside. If they spend the summer in a compost bin outside, they will go down in the soil underneath they will go into the soil below the bin when it starts to get cold. In my garden most quite a few red wiglers survive the winter this way.
A sudden exposure to cold wouldn't give them time to get into the ground and they might freeze.
I would wait a few months and fill up a bin with stuff before you put them out.
Could they stay in a basements/ warm barn or garage?
Once in a while I see worms on the edges but they never leave the bin.
