Give us some more information. Is it a new bin? Is it very wet or very dry? Describe your set up and we can probably help. Leave the lid or top off and the light will drive them down.

if you have only those items in the bin, in layers as listed, the worms are on the top because it's too hot below [especially grass clippings], and/or if the material is fresh they can't find any real food, which is the microbes that cause decomposition .... you need some bedding, which is a "neutral" material like shredded leaves, paper, mature compost, even soil, so they have something to dig into

its been a week before i put the worms..and i think its hot bellow...i cant tell if its dry or wet...

i have remove the top lid..and put some veggies..

worms don't have teeth Sam, they "slurp" the soft surface of decomposing materials, where the bacteria are

it would be helpful to chop up things you put in the bin and partly bury the additions so there's more chance it will start to decompose .... the worms will have zero interest in anything until it becomes microbially active

I think you should start over with a bedding suggested by squeeze/Bill or go get a bag of peat moss and mix it with a small amount of the materials you have aleady used except the goat manure unless it's aged. Your worms need food now. The scraps I find decompose pretty fast providing a quick source of food are cantaloupe peels and banana peels. Or if you have any produce in the 'fridge that is oldish, put that in for them. Your lettuce will work too if it's getting old now. I always bury scraps so they get started decomposing fast.

Don't give up, you'll be ok. Also don't put in lots of soil as its too heavy.
