I was thinking of taking dried up seaweed that had washed up on the beach, then soaking it in water, drying it a little, and feeding it to worms in order to add micronutrients/trace minerals to the castings.

Would I have to worry about sterilizing the seaweed?

Do you think I should boil it before putting it in a blender to feed the worms?
