Have you seen the posts in the Red worm Composting blog about experiences with the Worm Inn? He does mention that the the excellent air flow means having to watch out for drying. Scroll down past description of a stand for the WI, and you will find several videos of his composting in the Inn. And because of the blog foremat, many others chime in with their comments/experiences.

What material did you use?

I think the original Worm Inn uses that material that claims to keep a person dry by letting sweat evaporate yet stops rain from getting in. Despite how many times people tell me this I find it super hard to belive. Yet tags on clothes say it. And many people belive it. Just not me.

Tinkerers tend not to be seamstresses. So probably not a lot of homemade versions of this out there yet.

I have used the nylon material. They said you can't use cotton which leaves us the choices of nylon and polyester. And I got it made. If I make the next one ( to be exact, if I get it made next time ), I will put some sort of plastic inside the middle part of the worm inn. I don't want to water too frequently.

I was just curious as to the experience the other people have had.
