A really good clening and a frest coat of off white paint and a pile of nice fluffy beach towels will be a huge improvement.

I agree with above comments but if it will remain this way for a bit, I might opt for a cheery yellow. Now add white towels and teal accessories.

I'd go for a very pale teal/turquoise color, like sea salt or summer showers. It'll brighten the space but downplay the blue fixtures.

The toilet and sink are actually a dark green......not as teal as the picture looks. Sorry about that!

I would agree with white. Especially if you already know that you want to renovate in the future. White will help provide a contrast to the dark fixtures and bright floor and lighten the space considerably.

You can definitely paint the room white - look for decorative hardware for the cabinets that will also help change the look of the space. It's a shame the toilet and sink can't really be changed out right now, but a bright white color and accent with pewter/silver towels and I love the sea grass, too!

You have a lot of good advice, and I would add two things to consider: first, find the largest landscape print to hang on the wall opposite the mirror. This will in essence add a "window" to the room and put a lot of the visual emphasis on "outside" space, as opposed to the interior of the Bath space (and this will be reflected in the mirror, as well as visible directly). Second, accentuate the positive--the floor tile! For a nominal fee, the shower tiles can be reglazed (actually an enamel-finish paint) by a professional. Pick a color from the shades in the tile floor or the same color as the vanity (the former will draw all the attention away from the toilet and sink and accomplish a goal of adding some more warmth and brightness to the space). Then it won't matter so much what the wall color is. If this were my project, I would go with one of the stronger shades in the floor for the reglazing and then use one of the palest ones for the walls (which would be a nice warm tone). Remember: If you don't like an inherited element (like the dark toilet), then decorate around it instead of letting it dictate the rest of the elements.

How embarrassing.......I took another look and the toilet and sink ARE teal! Guess I had green on the brain! Thank you for all the great ideas!!
