Germinating MG seeds

First timer here, not an expert just second season.Just some thoughts I'd like to say.It seems better to me to germinate seeds in paper towels placed in opened ziplock bags overnight compared to soaking in water.I Also nick the fat end of the seeds with finger nail clippers.

socalviner, I have just starting really getting into growing MG"S on an obsesson basis, and still have a lot to learn also. It seems that for me, the best way to start these babies is in the ground. Then again, I need to do some more experimenting. Maybe I'll try your way and see what happens. :) arum

I had good luck nicking & soaking them overnight, they were up in a couple of days. I started them in small pots, transplanted later, all doing great.

It seemed pretty easy to me to germinate them. Soaked them in water for a day and a half, All of them sprouted.Same with Moonflower seeds

Not so much luck with my Cobaea seeds and Cardinal climbers
