Neither. Those small white worms are normal residents of a worm bin.

3/4 inch sounds like baby worms to me. I don't recall seeing or reading about any other bin resident that long.

See how they grow before doing anything.

Those little white things are more likely than not baby worms. If you dig around in your bin long enough you will find loads of little tiny worms that are white/translucent ranging in size from a centimeter long to an inch or so. When they get more mature they will get their color. You don't want too many of these little guys dying off as they are the future generation. I have a rubbermaid bin and the food stuff I add keeps the inside of the bin nice and moist so the explorers don't dry up. I keep just enough shredded paper (from the office shredder)in the bin so that there is no pooling water in the bottom. I have found that keeping things more wet than dry keeps my worms fat and healthy. Remeber that worms are mostly water and like things damp.

You may notice other REALLY tiny white critters roaming around that are just part of the bin environment. A good healthy bin has a lot of other organisms in there breaking down the food stuff. Though none of these critters in your bin should be larger than even your baby worms or they could be trouble. But if it looks like a worm and moves like a worm, it's a worm.
