Define "too cool nights"?

Define musty so we can prevent that from happening again for you. Do you add carbon material in addition to food materials? Such as egg cartons, corigated cardboard? The bedding needs to be refreshed time to time. For maximum worm happiness. Now a days some egg cartons are foam not cardboard. But in the store there is a choice where I am.

Thanks Equinox. Last night was n the upper 30's. I had brought them inside, they'll go back out for the day once it hits 50 so the fresh air can help dry them out (I have a piece of screen over the top bin to keep flies out).

There was leachate and newspaper at the bottom (the lid under the plastic bins) that was smelling rank. The pumpkin I've been feeding them needs to be drained better before being added to the bin. Adding more carbon is where I'm lacking. I figured harvesting would be delayed if I kept adding it. Guess I could just add it to one side.

I would like to move my bins outside for the summer but aren't you bothered by racoons? We have a lot of them around here and they get into everything.
