You have the activities backwards, arum. ;-)

The blooming process comes first. Within that blossom are the structures that carry the pollen and/or the eggs. Pollination occurs when the pollen (which are sperm carrying capsules) comes into contact with a receptive stigma (female receptor).

Out of a successful pollination process, eggs are fertilized by the sperm (which are released by the pollen), and that flower goes on to produce fruit and then seeds.

For those people who are growing plants inside their greenhouse, and wish to grow fruit, veggies, or to develop seeds, the pollination process must be imitated by human intervention.

Many morning glories will self-pollinate...the anthers and stigma will move towards each other and progressivly make physical contact as the flower closes...the unfertlized female gametes are ovules...

Thenks for the comment Ron. There's a lot I need to learn concerning Mg's. While trying to grow these inside, I'm wondering how they will fare. They will have sun, but we keep the temp 60 during the day, and 50 at night. Feels like 40. :)
