I ordered 4 different female kiwis and a male this year, and I have been trying to figure out how to put them in my parents backyard. haha I kinda went overboard buying fruit trees, and as I don't have a T-bar trellis system like Ive seen others do, and not sure my parents will swing for that taking up space in the yard for the kiwis ;).

I was thinking modeling each one after the T-bar systems, like it can go up a wood stake first year until it hits the fence area 4 feet high, cut it when it hits that, and let it form 2 shoots to go along the sides. and then tie it to the wood fence as it grows. and when the other shoots come off those, let them dangle to the left and right of the fence to support the vine as it gets heavy (since i dont have a structure to let the offshoots 'sit' on top of). Kinda messy, I don't know if it'll work, but I do have enough fence line. I might be able to replace the fence with something else like metal trellis fence if needed.

I heard each vine can do 200 pounds of fruit eventually, and my dad suggested a Pergola or Arbor. Not sure what to try, as I do have quite a few vines. I could setup a trellis maybe as that only takes up vertical space, but not sure what trellis will hold as kiwi grows
