Hi all, I posted this on the plant propagation forum but no answer yet. Has anyone tried propagation of strictocardia vines? I have 2 that bloomed this winter in my sun porch/plant room but they are huge, in large pots. I'd like to try to keep them smaller by making new plants and keeping them in restricted size pots this coming year. They grew over 20' in their current pots and I had to cut them back to bring them in. They are beautiful but I have been unsuccessful in rooting cuttings, I'm trying air layering right now but it's 5 weeks and no roots yet, maybe it's still just to cool in the plant room. If anyone has experience I'd appreciate some help! I posted a photo of the flower on the garden galleries a while back if you do a search with the word strictocardia you'll find the photo of the flower, it is really gorgeous! the color really does not photograph true, in natural light it is almost neon bright!
