What a great way to "recycle", and help someone at the same time. I concur, good for you !!!!

I did that last year with a huge number of euonymous bushes, which had some scale even! I had no less than 10 responses in 15 minutes.

I use FreeCycle in addition to Craigslist. Freecycle is not available everywhere, but its a great tool where you can find it. It's a Yahoo group and you have to have a Yahoo email to join.

The whole concept is there is no money involved. You are giving away an item to someone who needs it or you are asking if anyone has something you need. I've cleaned out the garage using freecycle. I even got lucky one day and was given a bunch of antique bricks that a lady wanted off her property. My only cost was the time and gas to go get them and haul them home.

I'm going to be next. Every home we've looked at is sporting a "boxwood mustache". I think boxwood smells like kitty pee pee and I like stuff that FLOWERS! PJ

I pulled mine out with the truck and then gave them away on craigslist since they didn't get damaged. The guy was going to come back and dig out the hollies but they were too much for him. He worked 3 hours and didn't make a dent in the first one, lol.

I gave away about 16 walmart bags full of mexican petunias on craigslist. Although, I have to stay away from it (a smoker, camper, window flower box, bakers rack, kirby vacuum and who knows what else has made its way to my house through that site.)

I wonder if the kitty smell I'm smelling behing my boxwood mustache is actually the bush. I thought it was a cat roaming the neighborhood. I have plans to get rid of them too. The boxwoods, not the cats.

I'm working on a new and I think inovative, design for my garden. I'm going to fill my garden with a lot of tropical elements like canna, elephant ear, ginger, banana and boxwood.

I know boxwood is not particularly tropical. But the idea is to create a garden that is not only is for both seasons, but will actually completly change it's appearence and character.

In the summer, it would be tropical and lush, but come winter when everything has died back, BOOM French formal garden to enjoy with symetrically positioned boxwood shaped in topiary cones complimented by mondo grass and other evergreens.

ANywho, just a concept I'm working on. Getting unwanted boxwood would sure be nice.

I love Craigslist! I've furnished my house over the past couple of months, bed, couch, loveseat, chair, ottoman, ferret, TV, chair, lamp... I always see people posting big trees & stuff, I figured they found out what it would cost & are trying to get someone to do it free. Some of it just would not be worth it!!! Like the hollies, too much work for too little reward. Some people have actually posted wanting you to pay them to remove their trees. Dreamers.
