Vine for ground cover

I recently purchased a new house and the back yard is very steep and had some drainage issues so the builder had to bring in rip rap. I am looking for some type of vine that can be used as a ground over the rip rap. Soil is very poor and rocky(basicallly the dirt that was dug out for the foundation). Ditch with rip rap is approximately 5 ft wide and 40 ft long. Deer are common so honey suckle is out. Looking for anything evergreen and trying to stay away from any type of annual vine if possible. Anyone have any suggestions?

How much sun is over the area? Don't know if anything would grow on top of that unless there is some shade near it.

Sorry forgot to mention that it was pretty much full sun west facing slope. However I was planning on planting something close to the edge of the rip rap that would provide a visual barrier from the sides(maybe that type juniper that stands up a couple feet)and I could then plant the vine in the shade of the juniper or whatever I decide to plant along the edge and let the vine trail out over the rocks

I was just thinking that you could put some creeping juniper along the slope and let it drape down towards teh rocks. Not sure what the vine would like that much sun though or would be willing to lay on a hot rock other than (God forbid) kudzu! Whenever I've seen slopes with rip rap rocks, I've never seen anything growing up through them or over them.

You could consider planting some daylillies (even ditch lilies, which are the plain orange daylilies) along the length of the slope and let them naturalize near the rocks. They may actually end up with babies coming up between the rocks too.

I had vinca vine on my sloped area. Lovely purple flowers in nice weather and evergreen.
