Are you talking about confederate jasmine? They root easily if you can get a woody stem and dip it in rooting hormone. I personaly have not been able to keep a cutting alive but I imagine it is worth a try. Just keep it in filtered shade until it starts to grow. I got mine at Walmart as a neglected clearance plant for $10 and now it is looking good.

My confederate jasmine does great here. It took about 3 years for it to cover a large trellis reaching a one story roof top. Mine is doing fantastic with little or no care in zone 8b Louisiana.
